Kitchen and bathroom cabinets without handles are now a standard option in the contemporary home market, appealing to North American customers who seek a more refined aesthetic. Several manufacturers, especially European ones such as Blum, Hettich, and Titus, have successfully advanced touch latch technology, leading to new push-to-open handleless solutions for drawers, pull-out cabinets, and cabinet doors.
Angelbau has deep expertise in push-to-open solutions for interior doors. All Fortius concealed doors can be optionally hardware-less, meaning there’s no door handle, no door pull, no door knob. When considering handleless door solutions, we advise using this invisible lock stylefor low-frequency doors, such as broom closets, seasonal storage doors, under-the-stairs doors, and access panels.
Using a push-to-open device is one example of the incredible variety of configurations within our Fortius Frameless Collection.
The door will open when you press against the door panel, and the actuator pushes the door open about 2-3”. To close the Fortius flush-with-the-wall door, press the panel until the magnetic latch retracts, keeping the door panel aligned with the wall.
The touch latch can be installed in any location; however, the ideal location is usually where a standard door handle would be.
