Anselmi Concealed Hinges Adjustment Instructions

Anselmi concealed hinges are made in Italy and are the top choice for Italian and German doors with concealed door jambs. Anselmi concealed hinges are the default hinge option within the Fortius Frameless Door Collection, available from Angelbau in the United States and Canada.

Adjustment instructions

The following adjustment instructions apply to Anselmi AN 140 3D, AN 160 3D,  AN 180 3D concealed hinges series.

  • The product name numbers refers to the hinge's weight rating in kilograms, i.e. AN 140 3D is rated for 40 kg or 88 lbs.
  • The term "3D" means the hinge is 3-way adjustable (up/down, left/right, forward/backward).

Height adjustment of Anselmi hinges

Insert the adjustment wedge under the door and unscrew (one turn only) the fixing screws of the hinge on the door leaf; the door rests on the wedge.

Slide the wedge under the door until you achieve the desired distance (undercut) from the floor; re-fasten the screws.

Optional — Screw in the optional screw D (3.5 mm) to secure the door vertically, then remove the adjustment wedge.

Depth adjustment of Anselmi hinges

Adjust the depth of Anselmi concealed hinges using the "C" and "E" bolts. First, loosen the "C" bolts one turn. Then adjust the depth using the "E" bolt (you have 2 mm, which is roughly 1/16", to play with). Once done, tighten both "C" bolts to secure the position.
