An outstanding European furniture maker — Javorina — just won the prestigious German Design Award 2024 for its innovative SOFT bed. The bed's construction and clever, sophisticated design won the jury. Javorina is a lifestyle furniture brand with a long history. The design award further cements Javorina's position as a leading furniture designer, competing in outstanding design and manufacturing excellence with the best of the legendary Italian furniture world.

The bed, called Javorina SOFT, combines an upholstered headboard and a beautifully crafted white oak bed frame. The soft lines of the headboard convey a feeling of privacy and coziness. The bed lets customers use taller mattresses.

The lead Javorina designer Leo Čelar describes the bed as a nod toward sustainable design — the bed comes with a curated list of timeless customization options. The SOFT bed is available in three shades of oak wood (natural oak, whitewash oak, dark oak) and with three types of durable textile upholstery material. Each upholstery material comes in a wide range of colors, letting the customer or interior designer customize the look and get a unique appearance to meet the requirements of each luxury home interior.

Third design award for Javorina

Previously, Javorina received design awards for its Javorina LOPA chair and the Javorina BUDDY pet house, a playful cat condo for your feline friend, or a cool kennel for your cute dog.

Angelbau is proud to represent Javorina in the United States, and we're excited that Javorina joined the prestigious German Design Awards club and joined the elite group of European companies that excel at design and engineering, a club that already hosts some of our architectural hardware partners such as Griffwerk.
